In the 2020 edition of Chambers Europe, Three Crowns maintained its position as a Band 1 firm for international arbitration, with several partners noted for their exceptional work and skills.

Recognising the “renowned practitioners” within the firm, the directory highlighted Three Crowns’ expertise in commercial and investment treaty arbitration and its sector specific experience of energy and natural resources, including cases “relating to construction contracts, expropriations and disputed production-sharing contracts,” in addition to cases from the “finance and automotive sectors in arbitrations arising from distribution agreements and post-M&A disputes.”  Chambers also notes the firm has been, “Highly active of late in matters involving Latin America and the Middle East, representing both states and investors.”

  • Georgios’ wide-ranging practice including representation of “corporates, financial institutions and public bodies,” with “considerable expertise in both investor-state and commercial arbitration.”  Sources say, “He is brilliant in court. He is witty, well prepared, polite and tough when needed.”
  • Todd is “particularly well regarded,” with expertise in “complex arbitration cases” across a wide-range of sectors including “construction … energy, automotive and defence.” Sources say he’s “clever,” “impressive on strategy and oral augmentation,” and “a very strong and very persuasive advocate.”
