Inter-State litigation brings its own unique challenges. There are invariably several government departments with important responsibilities, perspectives, and contributions to make. There are also invariably several external specialists from various disciplines (lawyers, cartographers, illustrators, historians, oceanographers and so on). The joint work-product and effort need to fuse into coherent, straightforward, and persuasive pleadings. Co-ordination and thought leadership are essential for this.

Members of our firm have worked with many prominent public international lawyers and leading hydrographers who regularly appear before the courts such as the ICJ, and successfully coordinated their work, ensuring the development of consistent arguments. Our team members are also familiar with the procedural and logistical aspects of a disputes brought before international tribunals.
