Session one: Some modest proposals: rethinking the “usual way” in international arbitration
Three Crowns and Osborne Partners will co-host a session exploring the current state of play as to arbitral procedure in both the commercial and investor-state contexts, and potential options for a change in approach with a view to improving the fairness, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of arbitration (and how such changes in approach can best be achieved).

Three Crowns and Powell Gilbert will co-host a panel discussion exploring the growing trend of using arbitration to resolve intellectual property disputes and whether it is already a viable option for Life Sciences companies, or whether further evolution is needed?

Session three: The 800-pound guerilla: does arbitration need a rule of contempt?
Three Crowns and Three Verulam Buildings (3VB) will co-host a panel as part of London International Disputes Week 2026. The discussion will explore the rise of insurgency tactics in arbitration and effective countermeasures, such as including a proposed “contempt of arbitration” rule. A drinks reception in our office will follow the panel.

Session four: Arbitration in a turbulent global landscape: one year on
Three Crowns will co-host a panel with the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG), continuing the debate from LIDW25 which covered issues including conflicts, trade wars, political instability, AI, energy transition, and climate change.
In this session, expert speakers will offer their perspectives on what the current levels of uncertainty mean for international arbitration and the role of effective dispute resolution strategies in managing risk.
