Three Crowns LLP, the world’s first international arbitration law firm, is delighted to welcome Reza Mohtashami QC as a partner in its London office. Mohtashami is an international arbitration expert who joins from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he was a partner in its litigation and arbitration practice.
Recognised as a “sensational lawyer” (Chambers UK), a “real powerhouse” (Who’s Who Legal), and a “top-notch professional” (Chambers Global), Mohtashami is an experienced arbitration advocate whose practice focuses on complex, multi-jurisdictional and high-value international disputes with a focus on the energy, infrastructure and telecommunications sectors. He has particular expertise in investment treaty arbitrations and has represented both investors and governments in such disputes.
Mohtashami spent six years in Dubai and has particular experience handling disputes in the Middle East and North Africa. He regularly sits as an arbitrator and was appointed Queen’s Counsel (QC) in 2018 in recognition of his advocacy skills. Mohtashami received his legal education at the University of Cambridge and at University College London. He speaks English, French, and Farsi.
