The Praelium is back, and this year it returns to London. Following last year’s edition in New York, the David D. Caron Praelium will be held at The Ned on Tuesday, 1 December 2026, as part of London Arbitration Week 2026. The event is named in honour of Praelium co-founder, Professor David D. Caron, whose esteemed career in international law continues to serve as a source of guidance and inspiration.
The David D. Caron Praelium, co-organised by Three Crowns LLP, Columbia Law School and King’s College London, is an annual celebration of advocacy, with two leading international advocates deploying their oratorical and advocacy skills in the service of important current legal issues before a distinguished three-member tribunal.
The event will start at 5:30 pm, with a cocktail reception to follow.
Cecilia Carrara (Legance) and Can Yeginsu (3VB) will appear as advocates before a tribunal comprising Domitille Baizeau (LALIVE), who will preside, Samuel Wordsworth KC (Essex Court Chambers) and George A. Bermann (Columbia Law School).
Registration
The Praelium is an invitation-only event, and places are limited. If you have received an invitation, please register here. To nominate a colleague, please email Hollie Wilks at [email protected].
