Viraen is an associate in the Singapore office. He has experience in a variety of international arbitrations involving a wide range of sectors and applicable laws. These include construction and engineering, infrastructure, power, oil and gas, as well as shareholder disputes. Viraen has acted as counsel in arbitrations under the rules of major arbitral institutions. He also has litigation experience in the English Courts.
Before joining Three Crowns, Viraen was an associate in the dispute resolution group of a leading U.S. law firm in London, where he represented high-profile clients in international arbitrations as well as commercial litigations.
Viraen received his Bachelor of Arts (Law) with First Class Honours and Master of Arts from Gonville & Caius College, University of Cambridge in 2016 and 2021 respectively. He was awarded the Sir William McNair Prize for being his college’s top performing undergraduate, the W.M. Tapp Postgraduate Scholarship and Gonville & Caius Book Prize. He has also won several mooting competitions both internationally and within the UK.
