Paris

Trishna is an associate in the Paris office. Her practice focuses on complex, high-value commercial, investor-State and inter-State disputes, spanning a range of industry sectors, governed by various applicable laws and conducted under all major arbitral rules.

Before joining Three Crowns, Trishna served as a government lawyer with the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry in New Delhi, where she was part of the delegations negotiating the State’s free trade agreements with various partner economies and represented the State in disputes brought before various standing international courts and tribunals.

Trishna holds an LL.B. (First Class Honours) from the Gujarat National Law University and an LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS), jointly awarded by the Geneva Graduate Institute and the University of Geneva, which she attended as a MIDS Scholar, graduating among the top three students in her class. She was also awarded the Teynier Pic Scholarship to attend the International Academy for Arbitration Law in Paris.

Trishna is admitted to practice in India (Advocate) and England & Wales (Solicitor). She is fluent in English, Malayalam, Hindi and has a working knowledge of French and Kannada.

  • Advising a Central African State in an ICSID arbitration against a Swiss financial services investor and its Cameroonian affiliates in connection with the placement of the investor’s subsidiary under receivership by the state’s central bank

  • Advising a West African state in a London-seated UNCITRAL investment arbitration against a Swiss energy investor in connection with the state’s termination of the investor’s iron exploration license and its subsequent transfer to another party
