Mitchell is an associate in the Paris office. He has experience in both international commercial and investment arbitration under various rules including those of the ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, LCIA, and SCC. His practice covers a wide array of sectors including oil and gas, maritime trade, construction, mining, and finance. Mitchell also has experience in international trade and sanctions compliance.

Prior to joining Three Crowns, Mitchell gained a breadth of experience working in international trade, investor-State dispute settlement, and international commercial arbitration with governments, law firms, and international organizations.

Mitchell holds an J.D. from the University of Ottawa, where he graduated cum laude. While at University he participated in international moot court including the Jessup and Foreign Direct Investment Law competitions, earning written and oral prizes in both including the highest team score in the history of the Foreign Direct Investment Law moot. During his studies he was also champion and top individual speaker at the 2016 Canadian National Debating Championships. He continues to volunteer with and judge moot court programs, including sitting on the Review Board of the Foreign Direct Investment Law moot since 2022 following his work authoring the 2021 fact pattern.
