Nicola Peart will moderate the “Voluntary Carbon Markets and International Dispute Resolution” webinar, hosted by The Young Members Group of CIArb NAB, and co-sponsored by the Silicon Valley Arbitration & Mediation Center (SVAMC), the International Center for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) Young & International, and the American Branch of the International Law Association (ABILA).

The panellists will provide insights into the evolution of voluntary carbon markets, carbon finance, and the relevance of international dispute resolution from in-house, private practice, and investment advisory perspectives.

Nicola, a senior associate in the Washington, DC office, practises in all aspects of international dispute resolution. Her experience includes international commercial and investment treaty arbitration, as well arbitration under the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and proceedings before the International Court of Justice. She also advises and represents parties in arbitration-related court matters, including before the UK Supreme Court.

Nicola is a member of the International Bar Association’s under-40 arbitration sub-committee, ArbitralWomen, and the ICCA Task Force on Gender Diversity in International Arbitral Appointments and Proceedings. She has also acted on a number of international law matters on a pro bono basis. She is recognised for International Arbitration in Chambers USA, The Legal 500 US, and is listed in Who’s Who Legal (Arbitration Future Leaders) for 2022.
