Reza Mohtashami QC to speak at 10th ICC MENA Conference

Reza Mohtashami QC will speak on the “Calibrating the compass: The arbitrator’s authority to revise the contract” panel at the 10th ICC MENA Conference.

The panellists will explore the legal basis and limits for the arbitrator’s power to revise the contract and the parameters at play; the arbitration agreement and the underlying agreement, lex arbitri, and lex causae. They will also discuss the civil law vs common law approach and contractual adjustment mechanisms.

The conference, which takes place at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Dubai, will be on Tuesday 17 May. The aforementioned panel will be from 2:45 to 3:45pm GST.

Reza is a partner in the London office. He has represented clients as counsel and advocate in more than 90 arbitrations conducted under a variety of arbitration rules in many different jurisdictions.
