Reza Mohtashami KC will speak at a panel on “The investment equation in MENA, states, SOEs, and investors in a changing risk climate”, as part of the 14th ICC MENA Conference on International Arbitration.
With treaty practice evolving and large public programs advancing, state related commercial arbitration and investor state exposure continue to test counsel. This panel addresses state and SOE contracts and arbitrations that arise thereof, stabilization and change in law clauses, sovereign immunity and execution, transparency expectations, settlement dynamics.
Reza will speak alongside Nayla Sleiman Al-Obeidli (AlGhazzawi & Partners), Fatima Balfaqeeh (Balfaqeeh Advocates & Legal Consultants), Niyati Gandhi (Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.), with Roland Ziadé (Linklaters) moderating the session.
The conference will take place on Tuesday 27 January 2026 in Dubai, with Reza’s panel taking place from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
