Hongchuan Zhang-Krogman appointed to the ICDR Young & International Board

Hongchuan Zhang-Krogman has been appointed to the ICDR Young & International Board for 2023 to 2026.

ICDR Young & International (Y&I) is the networking group for arbitration and other ADR practitioners under 40 sponsored by the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), the international division of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Launched in 2004, ICDR Y&I provides networking opportunities in the areas of commercial and public interest arbitration, as well as alternative dispute resolution, and now comprises more than 5,000 members around the world.

The ICDR Y&I Board is the main body in charge of organizing events and conferences in close cooperation with the ICDR. It also has an advisory function in the ICDR Y&I decision-making process with a focus on regional network-building through (1) encouraging membership in ICDR Y&I, (2) raising awareness of ICDR Y&I in the broader arbitration and ADR community and (3) organizing ICDR Y&I initiatives. The 2023-2026 ICDR Young & International Board consists of 25 professionals from 13 countries.

ABOUT HONGCHUAN ZHANG-KROGMAN

Hong is an associate based in the Washington, DC office. She has experience representing private clients, States and State-owned entities in the US, Asia and Europe in commercial and treaty disputes in the TMT, energy, infrastructure, private equity, aerospace and defence sectors, governed by various arbitral rules. She is qualified to practice in Washington, DC, New York and Singapore.

She studied law at the University of Cambridge and New York University as a Singapore Public Service Commission scholar, graduating with First Class Honours from the University of Cambridge. She was previously a law clerk at the Supreme Court of Singapore and spent several years in Singapore’s Attorney-General’s Chambers advising on a range of public international law issues and representing Singapore in international disputes and negotiations and at international fora.
