E Jin Lee to present at the ITA-IEL-ICC Joint Conference on International Energy Arbitration

E Jin Lee, an associate at Three Crowns, will be a featured panelist on a Young Lawyers Roundtable as part of the ITA-IEL-ICC Joint Conference on International Energy Arbitration, taking place on 20 – 22 January. E Jin will present on a panel entitled “Recent Regional Developments in Energy Arbitration, What’s the Latest?” The discussion will take place on Friday, 22 January at 10:45 am CST (GMT -6).

The discussion will focus on recent regional developments in the energy sector and their impact on international arbitration, as well as:

  • the shifting of state policy in South Asia, and how it has affected oil and gas-related disputes
  • the late progress in the tensions between indigenous rights and energy investments in South America
  • and recent reforms in Africa that may give rise to disputes in the petroleum industry

ABOUT E JIN LEE

E Jin is an associate in our Washington, DC office with experience in international commercial and investment arbitrations conducted under various institutional rules, including the AAA, ICC, SIAC, UNCITRAL, and ICSID, as well as arbitration-related litigation in U.S. courts.

E Jin earned his JD from Columbia Law School, where he graduated as a James Kent Scholar, Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and a recipient of the Parker School Certificate for Achievement in International and Comparative Law. Additionally, he has a degree in English law from King’s College London, where he graduated with First-Class Honours.

While at Columbia, E Jin served as an Articles Editor and Solicitations Editor for the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law, as well as a Research Assistant to Professor George A. Bermann (Chief Reporter) on the Restatement (Third) of the U.S. Law of International Commercial and Investment Arbitration.
