Borja Pérez-Puente and Laura Anaya Quintero to participate in ICC YAAF fireside chat

Borja Pérez-Puente and Laura Anaya Quintero will participate in an ICC YAAF event on the eve of ICCA Madrid, featuring a fireside chat with Fernando Mantilla-Serrano.

The session will provide young arbitration practitioners with the opportunity to engage in a small-group discussion with Fernando Mantilla-Serrano, who will share insights from his experience as counsel, arbitrator, and former ICC counsel, as well as perspectives on current developments in arbitral practice and practical advice for the next generation.

Borja Pérez-Puente will deliver the welcome remarks alongside Thomas Fearis (BRG), and Laura Anaya Quintero will participate in the interview of Fernando Mantilla-Serrano together with Piotr Paprota (GESSEL).

The event will take place in Madrid on Sunday, 12 April 2026, with the fireside chat running from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, followed by a networking session.

ABOUT BORJA PEREZ-PUENTE

Borja is a senior associate based in the Madrid office. He has experience acting in commercial and investment arbitrations under several governing laws and institutional rules, in disputes relating to the aerospace, railway, TMT, construction and energy sectors.

ABOUT LAURA ANAYA 

Laura is an associate in our Madrid office. She specialises in investment and commercial arbitration under a variety of arbitration rules in a range of sectors, including energy and natural resources, construction, and mining. Laura has been involved in proceedings under various institutional rules, including the ICC, UNCITRAL, and ICSID rules.

Laura holds an LLM from King’s College London, where she graduated with Distinction, having earned academic scholarships by the University and the British Council in Colombia. She graduated from Universidad Externado de Colombia with an LLB, where she was ranked first in her cohort and was awarded two academic scholarships. Whilst there, she won an international competition in procedural law, for which she was granted a scholarship for postgraduate studies in tort law and contractual liability. She also won oralist awards when participating in an international arbitration moot competition.
