Agustin G. Sanz to speak at UNCITRAL LAC Ecuador Day

Publications 29th November 2021

Agustin G. Sanz will be speaking on the “Expedited Arbitration – Perspectives of the New UNCITRAL Rules for Expedited Arbitration” panel at UNCITRAL LAC Ecuador Day, hosted by Universidad San Francisco de Quito.

Agustin will be discussing witnesses and experts at hearings, and in particular, the question of whether parties have the right to call witnesses and experts for cross-examination. The panellists will also look at whether having a sole arbitrator as a default rule makes arbitration more expeditious, if there is a right to a hearing, and the changes brought in by the new UNCITRAL standards for document production.

The event, which will be in Spanish, will take place on Thursday 2 December from 10:40am – 12:10pm ET (3:40 – 5:10pm GMT).
