34TH ITF PUBLIC CONFERENCE: STATE REGULATORY POWERS AND THEIR LIMITS

This year’s conference, taking place virtually 10-11 September, will address limits of state regulatory powers under international law.  Topics covered will include the most recent developments in investor-State dispute resolution, new trends in investment treaty making, force majeure, hardship and the right to regulate, as well as the impact of Brexit and COVID-19 on investors. There will also be discussions on differences between various regions and the practical ways new international investment agreements can better balance protection of investors and interests of States.
