Liz Snodgrass will moderate a panel on the subject of “Expert Determination and Accelerated Dispute Resolution” at the 2nd ITA Conference on International Arbitration in the Mining Sector, organised by the Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA). The conference will gather global experts in the field, including mining company executives, in-house counsel, arbitrators and arbitration practitioners, to discuss the key issues that arise in mining sector arbitrations.

The panel, taking place on Thursday 7 March from 11:40 am to 12:45 pm, will feature Guilherme Recena Costa of Barrick Gold Corporation, Peter Brady of Lundin Mining, Mohamed Shelbaya of Gaillard Banifatemi Shelbaya Disputes, and Lindsey Schmidt of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP.

The conference will be held immediately after the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference – the mining industry’s preeminent annual event, on Wednesday 6 March and Thursday 7 March at the Shangri-La Toronto.
