Ilija Mitrev Penushliski spoke at a conference entitled “Contract and Disputes with Government-Owned Companies: International Arbitration at the Intersection of Public and Private Interests” held in connection with a three-day training on oral advocacy to prepare law students from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Kosovo, Albania, and Montenegro for the 30th Willem C. Vis Moot competition.

Ilija addressed “Corruption Allegations in International Arbitration”, in a detailed presentation of issues of corruption in both investment and commercial arbitration.

The event was hosted by the United States Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) in collaboration with the University of Zenica Faculty of Law, ARBITRI, GIZ, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The conference took place on Thursday 9 February 2023.
