Carmen Martinez Lopez will be moderating a panel on “What are expert witnesses for?”, hosted by Madrid International Arbitration Centre (CIAM). This is the third session in CIAM’s series, which focuses on the position of expert witnesses in international arbitration and how they influence the decisions made in arbitral awards. Carmen, a partner in the London office, appears regularly as advocate in numerous investment treaty and commercial arbitrations, both under the rules of the major arbitral institutions and ad hoc. Her matters involve a variety of jurisdictions, with a particular focus on Latin America and Spain.
