Nicola Peart to speak at Washington Arbitration Week 2025

Events 2nd October 2025

Nicola Peart will speak on a panel at Washington Arbitration Week (WAW) 2025, titled “The New Frontier in Mining Disputes and International Arbitration: Tensions between Project Viability, Environmental Concerns and Social Licenses.”

The panel will explore the growing complexity of mining-related disputes in international arbitration, focusing on the balance between commercial viability, regulatory compliance, environmental protection, and community impact. As global scrutiny of extractive industries continues to rise, panelists will examine how these evolving dynamics affect the way disputes are framed and resolved.

Nicola will join a distinguished group of practitioners for this in-person session, which will take place on Friday, 10 October 2025, from 12:00 to 1:15 p.m. (EST) at ArentFox, 1717 K Street NW, Washington, DC.
