Darien The

International Associate

Darien is an international associate in the Washington, D.C. office. He has experience advising state-owned entities and major corporations in international commercial arbitration and other dispute resolution forums for a range of industries including oil and gas, aviation, banking and construction.

Before joining Three Crowns, Darien clerked for Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon and other Justices at the Supreme Court of Singapore, where he worked on commercial and investment arbitration matters in the context of setting aside and enforcement proceedings.

Darien holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School (Fulbright Scholar and Lee Kuan Yew Scholar) with a focus on public international law. He obtained his LL.B. from Singapore Management University (Kwa Geok Choo Scholar) where he graduated top of his cohort as the university Valedictorian. Darien was also one of the top 10 oralists in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot.

Darien has published on a range of topics in various Singapore journals such as the Singapore Academy of Law Practitioner, Singapore Journal of Legal Studies and Singapore Comparative Law Review.
