The David D. Caron Praelium: An Annual Celebration of Advocacy

The David D. Caron Praelium, co-organized by Three Crowns LLPColumbia Law School, and King’s College London, is an annual celebration of advocacy, with two leading international advocates deploying their oratorical and advocacy skills in the service of important current legal issues before a distinguished three-member tribunal.

In 2025, the Praelium returns with Anneliese Day KC and Patrick W. Pearsall as advocates, appearing before an eminent tribunal, featuring Samaa A. Haridi, The Honorable Charles N. Brower, and George A. Bermann. A fixture of New York Arbitration Week (NYAW), and one of its most anticipated events, this year’s Praelium will be held at the historic Harmonie Club on Thursday, 20 November, with arrivals from 5:00 pm. Full details will be released in September.

The David D. Caron Praelium 2024 took place in person at The Law Society in London, and online via zoom, on Thursday, June 6, as part of London International Disputes Week (LIDW). During the event, advocates Kate Davies KC and Tariq Baloch appeared before an esteemed tribunal, comprising Hilary Heilbron KC, Sam Wordsworth KC, and Audley Sheppard KC.
