Gaurav is Counsel, based in our London office. His practice focuses on investment and commercial arbitration in the energy industry, predominantly in upstream oil and gas disputes and price review arbitrations in the natural gas and global LNG sectors.
Gaurav joined Three Crowns from the Global Litigation Group at Shell, where he was a Senior Legal Counsel leading on the group’s international arbitration and transnational litigation matters. In that role, he advised and acted as counsel, regularly appearing as an advocate before arbitral tribunals. Prior to that, Gaurav spent several years as an associate in Paris and London in the international dispute resolution group of a leading international law firm.
Gaurav is a dual-qualified lawyer, admitted to the Paris bar and in England & Wales. He is a Gray’s Inn major scholar, and served as a member of the IBA’s Subcommittee on Investment Treaty Arbitration between 2014 and 2016. His native language is English, and he is a fluent speaker of French and German. The Legal 500 UK ranks Gaurav as a Next Generation Lawyer for international arbitration and he is also noted for his expertise in public international law.
