Farshad is an associate in the Washington office.  Prior to joining Three Crowns, he collaborated with two large international law firms in Paris, a technology consulting firm in San Francisco and served as a Weinstein fellow at JAMS arbitration. Farshad has extensive experience with domestic and international arbitration and litigation, investor state disputes and public international law in a broad range of sectors, including infrastructure, oil & gas, natural resources, technology, and sovereign debt.

Farshad received his doctoral degree (J.S.D.) from Yale Law School where he was a senior editor of Yale Journal of International Law, co-president of Yale Society of International Law and a Howard M. Holtzmann Fellow in international dispute resolution. He has placed several articles in leading outlets including Yale Journal of International Law, Lewis & Clark Law Review, Harvard Journal of International Law Online, and Foreign Affairs. He authored the book International Dispute Resolution and the Public Policy Exception with Routlege (2016). Farshad has taught on the topic of international law at University of California, Berkeley.
