Carmelo is a senior associate in the Paris office of Three Crowns. With over a decade of experience Carmelo has advised clients in numerous international arbitrations including ad hoc and under the rules of the ICC, CCIG and ICSID, with a particular focus on construction disputes.
His experience includes representing: a French-German consortium in a billion dollar ICC arbitration in Stockholm against a Finnish utility company arising out of the construction a nuclear power plant; a North African energy company as Respondent in an ICC arbitration in Paris initiated by a European construction contractor which arose from an agreement for the construction of an oil & gas production facility in North Africa; and three European chemical companies in a series of ICC arbitrations against the European subsidiaries of a large North American chemical concern, these disputes arose from a joint venture agreement formed to manufacture a product used for the production of nylon.
Prior to joining Three Crowns, Carmelo was a senior associate in the Paris and Abu Dhabi offices of another leading international arbitration firm. He is qualified in Milan and Paris, and speaks English, French and Italian.
