Adrián is an international associate based in the Washington D.C. office. He has significant experience working in Latin American jurisdictions in a wide range of sectors including oil, finance and telecommunications.
Adrián’s recent experience includes:
- Counsel for an international oil company in an international investment treaty dispute arising out of a unilateral modification of a contract.
- Counsel for an Israeli software company against Ecuador arising of a series of contractual disputes related to the Ecuadorian state-owned communication company CNT.
- Counsel to the Republic of Chile in its investment arbitration with a Colombian construction and power distribution company under the Chile-Colombia Free Trade Agreement.
- Assistant to the drafting an expert opinion on behalf of a Spanish consortium working in the oil sector in an international investment treaty arbitration dispute.
Adrián has an LL.M from Harvard Law School, where he participated with the Harvard International Arbitration Law Students Association (HIALSA). He has received law degrees equivalent to a J.D. from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain), and Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo (Ecuador). Prior to this, he obtained his B.A. at Beloit College where he double majored in International Political Economy and Philosophy. He is fluent in English, Spanish, French and has working knowledge of Italian.
